Hello Comic Book Fans and welcome to: Superheroes To Invest In #1, the first of our weekly articles where we spotlight a different Superhero each week that we feel is a safe bet to invest in, and in our opinion will gain value over time. Please remember this information is to be solely used for fun and is our opinion and not a guarantee. Now that that's done, lets begin!
Today's Character is Mister Miracle! Mister Miracle was created by Jack "The King" Kirby (Yes, the great Jack Kirby!) in 1971. Now we at Department Express love this Character as he was part of Jack Kirby's Fourth World Saga Which to this day is an amazing work of creativity that only a master could produce.
Scott Free is the Amazing Mister Miracle, who escapes the dark planet Apokolips and his captor Darkseid for the planet earth. On earth Free befriends an escape artist named Thaddeus brown who goes by Mister Miracle. He teaches Scott Free the tricks of his trade, and when he is killed, Free adopts his persona as the new Mister Miracle.
Now the book that you are going to want to target is Mister Miracles first appearance in Mister Miracle #1 1971 DC Comics.
When Taking a look at the financial aspects behind this pick, we can see that a CGC 9.4 copy of Mister Miracle #1 sold for $305 US Dollars on September 17, 2017 in fair market auction. Only 51 days later on November 7th, 2017 a CGC 9.4 copy sold in fair market auction for $510 US Dollars. That is a whopping gain of $205 in less than 2 months, almost a 40% gain! Now if that is not a return on investment, I don't know what is.
With such a rich world and storied characters, it is just a matter of time that Jack Kirby's Fourth World Saga makes it's way to the big or small screen, and Mister Miracle is sure to follow it.
